Havanese are native to Cuba.  Happy, playful, sturdy little companions, descendants from the Bichon.  They have been described as "velcro dogs, and "personality like a golden retriever" They love to learn tricks but are just as happy sitting on your lap.

Our dogs are generally homebodies.  They live in our home; we do not have kennels. Puppies are raised in our home. They get lots of attention and get plenty of interactions from our grandchildren.

Some of the previous puppies have been lucky enough to find owners that take them to the beach, snow sledding and on weekend excursions.

They are non-shedding dogs and do need regular grooming. Their coat is usually wavy, light and silky. Their body is a little longer then tall and have high set tails that curve over their back. Havanese coats can change colors in the first few years. A rich dark brown can often lighten to a pale silvery bronze, "blue" often start as jet black and transition into a deep or light blue-gray tone. Red often changes into a cream or pale apricot color by their first year.

They are good with young children and other dogs. They are generally not dominant pets; they just want to get along with everyone! Very adaptable and playful! ​
